The Indigenous Cultural Evolutionist Podcast Launch
Wáy Slaxts, I've got some exciting news - I've launched a new podcast!!! It's called the Indigenous Cultural Evolutionist and you can listen to the first episode on Spotify here and on the anchor app here and Itunes soon.
I've had a number of requests over the years to make audio recordings of my blogs and my cuzzin Trevor said it to me again last week and so I got up early this morning to make it happen. The podcast will be "totems for the community as we capture readings, conversations and explore Indigenous love to ignite and celebrate Indigenous sovereign power."
It's a companion to this blog that gives access to the work that I'm up to, in a different modality. I totally get some peeps don't have time and or really want to read all of my blogs - I'm not sure anyone in my immediate family even reads them. I do know my ex boyfriend still does because he's amazing and a close friend but anyways I just wanted to give people another option to making stories of Indigenous peoples and our practices more readily available.
On this weeks episodes, I give an intro to the podcast, I read last week's blog Translations, share some upcoming events that I'm a part of and give big Indigenous love to the NAC Indigenous Theatre team for launching their season!!
My first couple couple weeks of school has been really productive, I've got a lot of readings and even more writing assignments. I worry that I won't be able to keep up with the blog and so the Indigenous Cultural Evolutionist Podcast is a way for me to keep the sharing going, especially if a lot of my writing is school/thesis related.
So subscribe to the podcast and I'm so grateful for you tuning in and supporting this Indigenous Matriarch, I look forward to this new chapter of Indigenous knowledge sharing!
with great Indigenous Love,
